Adobe Integrated Firefly’s AI Tools into Photoshop

Adobe has begun a significant endeavour to incorporate AI into current creative workflows across Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Adobe Express by integrating Firefly, its family of generative AI models, into Photoshop.

Generative Fill, which is now supported by Firefly, enables users to expand images and add and delete items using straightforward text prompts.

“By integrating Firefly directly into workflows as a creative co-pilot, Adobe is accelerating ideation, exploration, and production for all of our customers,” said Ashley Still, senior vice president, Digital Media at Adobe. “Generative Fill empowers customers to bring their visions to life at the speed of their imaginations by combining the speed and ease of generative AI with the power and precision of Photoshop.”

Time is saved using Generative Fill, which automatically fits the perspective, lighting, and style of photographs. With the use of natural language and concepts, it “expands creative expression and productivity and enhances creative confidence of creators to generate digital content in seconds,” according to Adobe.

It offers Content Credentials, guaranteeing users know if a piece of content was produced by a person, and allows users to change their photographs without causing any damage by generating generative layers.

Also updated by Adobe were Photoshop itself, which now features Enhanced Gradients, Contextual Task Bar, and Adjustment Presets.

Today’s desktop beta programme for Photoshop’s Generative Fill functionality will become generally available in the second half of 2023. Also accessible right now is the Firefly beta app.
